Hey Everyone! I have recently started upcycling the excess surfboard resin that has accumulated on the ground at various shaping bays throughout my city and wanted to share them with you! The surfing community has always played a major role in the push for a greener earth, however with each surfboard produced comes a large amount of waste from the composite materials needed to make it, ultimately counteracting the environmentally conscious reputation our industry often boasts. By taking the resin that otherwise would have ended up in our landfills and putting it to good use, I am hoping to shed light on an aspect of the surfing community that is typically overlooked.
